At Dr. M. Jawanda Dentistry, the technology we use can help to inform treatment planning and conducting your dental appointmentt. Because we can display digital x-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth and walk you through your treatment plan.

X-Rays

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays use digital sensors to replace traditional photographic x-ray film. They produce computer images of your teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to see parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic x-rays allow your dentist to capture a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints, and the nasal and sinus structures. They are used to help plan treatments for extractions, implants, dentures and braces.

Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions, an alternative to traditional dental impressions.

Your dentist uses an optical scanning wand to take a digital image of your teeth. Within a few minutes, this device allows your dentist to capture highly accurate data and produce digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth for restorative purposes including implants, veneers and crowns. They can also help us diagnose orthodontic issues and create appropriate treatment plans.
